Riverbend was recently honored as the St. Louis-area middle school recipient of the Champions for Character Award. Given by CharacterPlus in conjunction with Cardinals Care, the award recognizes long-term schoolwide service learning projects that are embedded in the curriculum.
“The new Exploring Service in the Community Course at Riverbend Middle School exemplifies the school's commitment to focusing on citizenship and educating students to be future changemakers. We are proud of Riverbend's efforts in fostering positive character values and nurturing our future civic leaders,” said Dr. Ketina Armstrong.
