Nike Elementary had a wonderful turnout for our Veterans Day Celebration! Students and staff were honored to host a breakfast and program for 15 Nike families that had Veterans in attendance. Upon finishing the Pancakes with Patriots meal, students, staff, and the Veterans took part in a school-wide reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and the Nike Scout Pledge. Everyone viewed a slideshow of our service members and heard the story of America's White Table, led by 4th grade students. Sharing this book was valuable for our Scouts to hear because they learned about the importance to remember and honor those who have served and given the ultimate sacrifice. Students were thrilled to have their Veterans present at school. We, here at Nike, cannot thank them enough for their service to our country, and for joining us during our program!
